Strange days, indeed.
A bit of strangeness this evening.
My email storage was in dire need of being
closed out. I had emails saved in there since
August and it took me about twenty minutes
to clear the damn thing out.
The bizarre part is that I found emails from
the friend of mine, Henry, who died a few days
before my grandmother. I read them. And it
was...weird.
I also posted a long diatribe in Matthew's
LJ concerning how I've been feeling about the
concept of Love and True Love (tm) lately. But,
I think it might have been lost in the ether.
If it has, I won't be rewriting it any time
soon.
I also found an old email from Stellar,
bemoaning the fact that she lost me as a friend
because of her inability to make decisions
based on friendship. Specifically, my friendship
and her decision to persue someone who, at the
time, was my boyfriend.
Evenmoreso the words "I've lost something and
I haven't gained anything in return."
That still, to this day, leaves a bad taste
in my mouth. Friends aren't fucking trading
cards. What a ridiculous concept.
And an extremely dumb move.
I wish life was like the movies or the romance
novels. Everyone lives happily ever after
(unless it's one of those twisted movies with
the fucked up endings like Seven or Ginger
Snaps that I do so love).
My life, no matter how teneous of a grasp I may
sometimes have on reality, is not a movie or
a faery tale book.
Sadly enough.
