It's 9:16 am

And I've yet to get a phone call.

*edit*
Now it's 10:18. Still nothing.

*edit again*

11:24 am. Nothing, so I called the office. After letting the phone ring for an assload of time, someone finally picked up. I told them my problem and was forwarded to a supervisor, with the addendum that if I get their voice mail I am to leave my name, number, and social security number. And that someone will get right back to me.

This is what I did just now. So, now I'm waiting.

Again.

Unemployment loves making you jump through hoops.

I hate them.

In NY, you can apply online. Can you do that there?

Yeah, you can do that down here. I've already jumped through that hoop. The problem I'm facing now is that since I've been fired, I have to go through a "fact finding interview".

It was scheduled for 8am, but they tell you to be available for two hours after that. In case they are busy and can't call you at the allotted time.

*snarl*

It's now 9:35 and still no call.
At about 10:30-11:00, I'm going to get on the phone and start trying to get through to them. Which will consist of me dialing the number once, hearing a busy signal, hanging up, then hitting redial. Probably for about a good hour or so.

Because Lord knows the unemployment office can't afford to have some kind of SWITCHBOARD set up with multiple people ANSWERING phone calls. No. It's one person, sitting next to one phone.

>:O

They try to make it so you don't have to go in person to their office, those words are a direct quote by the way, but all of their avenues to do so SUCK.

>:O

and >:O just for good measure.

Now it's 9:38.
