When does it all fucking end?

I am about ready to SNAP. And in a big way.
Too much shit. I can't handle it anymore.

The newest round of "Let's fuck up Tara's life" is that one of my mother's creditors (who she hasn't been able to pay since she was diagnosed) has ordered a levy against her. Which means they went into her bank account and withdrew all the money in it.

Which was her and Todd's portion of the rent.

Yes. This is quite legal. And no, they don't have to notify you.

Not only that, but because her name is on my bank account (this was from when I was supposed to go to Scotland, we thought it would be easier if she had access to my account), they also went into my account and removed all of MY money.

WHAT THE BLITHERING FUCK?!?

I am at my wit's end.
I'm in a complete haze, I can't even be angry anymore.
I just want to curl up into a ball and fucking cry. But, I can't.

I know it's legal for them to take her money, but they might have to give yours back if you can prove it's yours.

Contact a credit counselor, & while you're at it, a lawyer.

I am so sorry -I have had shit like that happen with my bank -its horribly unfair and causes way too much stress -I agree with calling a credit counselor as well as the Legal Aid department in your state -they should be able to help -it should be in the government pages of your phone book. I wish you luck -if there is anything you need (short of sanity and all the money put back into your accout, I know) then message or email me and I will help all I can. *hugs*

If I were you, I'd look at what sort of rights you have in dealing with creditors in your state. They vary from state to state and some states aren't as good as others, but maybe you'll be able to find some ways to protect yourself and your mother in the future.
