(no subject)

Despite the fact that it rained damn near all weekend and I didn't get any chances to practice my poi spinning because when it wasn't raining, it was holyfuckingshit cold, my camping experience was a winner.

We weren't allowed to have a fire (which changed four o'clock on Saturday afternoon), which led to the group of us getting hoot toots lean tos, instead of tent-camping. Which RULED.

Wee little cabin, with a wood-burning stove. Windows! That open! And a door! That opened!

Also, we had live raccoon tv Friday night, much to my joy. And a mallard soap opera the rest of the weekend (I named them Ethel and Norman).

Other highlights of the weekend included:

* almost catapulting the Engineer off our inflatable bed, simply by turning over a bit too quickly.
* my Dawn of the Dead hoodie.
* "What are you going to do with that? Whittle?"
* being blasted out of the shower by high pressure water. And it was HOT.
* conversing with the ducks and having them talk BACK.
* not brushing my hair for three days.
* setting fire to everything I was allowed to.
* "Can I put the airhorn in the fire?"
* reading for three hours in front of a roaring fire.
* consuming my fluid weight in Red Zinger tea out of a shiny purple mug.
* "No I-am-the-God-of-Hellfire for you, Tara!"
* the raccoon, did I mention the raccoon?
* smoking out 26,000 acres. Twice.
* giving my cats hugs when I got home.
* two words: Uncle Daddy.

I am happy, even if I didn't get a chance to poi spin, if a bit itchy. I've been far too tired since I got home this afternoon to actually put my stupid ass in the shower, which is the cause of the itchiness. This is something which will be rectified shortly.

I covet your camping with a door

If you learned koi spinning like me you wouldn't've had that problem!
