(no subject)

Am I the only person my age who does not look back at the 80s in a fond and wistful manner?

This is getting ridiculous.

Seriously.

the weird thing i allways thought was...most of our friends were like 5 in 1980 so they pretty much are looking back at stuff there parents or older siblings might have been into

yeah, I pretty much got into music in '86, when I was 12. I think I feel like I've been filling in the gaps of that era ever since. I think what people are starting to realize is that eras are really more of an aesthetic than a time period. it's like having a french colonial house when you live in delaware or something.

I was in my 20's in the 80's and don't look back on it with any fond or wistful memories...bleh!

oh yeah, I'm just DYING to relive all those horrifying elementary school memories that have scarred me for life...

...sometimes with disdain... sometimes with appreciation. Never with nostalgia. I like tons of stuff from the 80s... and the 70s and the 90s and now and all over the place. Shit thats good will be good whatever the year.

Yes. It is getting ridiculous.

Not me. But nostalgia isn't really my thing.
