lemmings over the cliff or rats leaving a sinking ship?

I'm hearing a lot of talk from people about the droves of individuals who plan on leaving LJ when the Soviets invade, OMG it's going to be exactly like RED DAWN! their paid time expires. There's a multitude of reasons being given, none of which truly matter to me.

However, I'd like to know who on my friends list is planning on going and to where, so I can try to keep track of who I would like to still communicate with. I'm not adverse to creating accounts on different sites, so I am able to still read my friends. I'm just not planning on abandoning ship. I don't feel there's any reason to.

I've already created one, on InsaneJournal (username: sacredheart), but I don't know what else really exists.

By the way, can that set-up over there on IJ be any more fucking rondo (to borrow a term from Natalie Dee)? Seriously. "Tweak says..."? Asylums? Who designed that site? SOMEONE BEAT. I thought DeadJournal was bad.

Not going anywhere until I absolutely can't stand it anymore. So far, this ain't it.

In other news, I saw this and instantly thought I had to pass it on to you.

I'm trying to figure out why anyone cares.

This is the first I've heard about it, though I did let my account expire a few months back. I'm just not so into participating on the internets anymore, although I do read stuff.

Yeah, I kind of have a hard time with what is supposed to be "cute" about InsaneJournal... I only went with it as a backup because it seems to be where the vast majority are headed.

But it's kind of irritating, all told.

My whole issue is the content flagging and random policy changes. I really don't care about who owns the site, so long as it works well and I am free to do/say what I want on said site without some rabid fetus humper getting all worked up because oh no! chilfree talk is "hate speech" or whatever crap they cook up.

My whole issue

What you said.

I'm making a secondary at greatestjournal just to keep up with some movers. I don't think at this point I'm leaving any more than the schooly reaction already in effect, but I dunno if I'll start writing more over there too. I'll send you my name when I put it together.

On the rare occasion that I blog, it's here and myspace (yes, myspace).

What was the name of that ferret vet that you took me out to last year?

The office's name is Blackwood Animal hospital; the vet is Dr. Euhler.

What's up?

Minister has the adrenal. At first I thought she was just thinning, as older ferrets ten to do, but it's all the classic symptoms. So it's time for her to get it out, and I'll cross my fingers that she's in the lucky 75% for which the operation is useful and survivable.
