I was going to make a joke along the lines of "Open the pod bay doors, God!", but benchilada beat me to it.

Despite the fact I hold a very healthy dislike for most science-fiction, 2001 has always been one of my favourite books and films.

2001 was an amazing book, and film. I like scifi, but that one is definitely one I enjoyed the most. RIP.
