a clarification of my earlier post
Well, as it would turn out...the two newest boys I got about a month ago are not actually boys.

I'm really pissed about this, if anyone can't tell already. I relied on the breeder to give me two males. I asked a billion times. I /trusted/ this person to know. Over the past month, I kept looking at them and wondering where their errrr...boy parts were. When they were going to drop. Wondering what the hell was wrong. I'd been told by a few people that they were still pretty young and that sometimes being around such a dominant as my hairless boy, Aardie, would cause them to shrink up into their body cavity at times. I've only ever had a girl rat before, so I had zero experience with all of this.
Now I feel like a jackass.
Last night, I decided to do some research on my own because of how fat the one, Aleister, seemed to be getting. I had him on my lap while I sat at the computer, I compared with photos.
I noticed nipples.
grr.
Among other things.
So. Now I have two almost definitely impregnated girl rats and one boy rat.
I'm going to have quite a few babies soon, I reckon.
I suppose I'll keep the two girls, as I've grown attached to them even though I was quite adamant about only wanting boys. And possibly one or two boys from the litter (introducing them into the main cage after they've been properly neutered, that is). Aardie has to be neutered. And I have to separate the mommas so they don't theif babies from each other.
The babies are sure to be fantastic, with the complete grab bag of potential types. The two girls I have, Speck and Aleister, are from the same litter. One of them is an albino dumbo and the other is a double rex (?) dumbo. The father, Aardie, is a hairless. Who knows what the babies are going to look like?
Anyone in the South Jersey/Philadelphia area looking for babies?

Thank you soooooo much for having me over on Sat! :) Much fun, much good times. I suspect I will be in the area more, over the next while. Especially since I am going to throw all my effort into moving to the general Philadelphia area. :)

Oh man, you know how bad I want some ratties but I don't know how good of a mommy I'd be right now. *sigh*
