Well.

I had a slew of things that I was going to post about, as I've been largely absent from LJ lately other then a random comment here and there. However, it all has been replaced in my brain by one thing:

My mother has been laid off from her job.

Those repugnant dog fuckers. I hope they all die from syphillis caught by a five dollar hooker on Admiral Wilson Blvd. And that it's not caught until it's in advanced stages. And their lives are ruined because they've got shaky hands, advanced dementia, and rotting body parts.

Especially that corpulant, dough faced, rabbit dick, Stan Middleman.

I'm sorry Pookie.

If ya need anything, not that I can offer much, just ask. I can catch the HIV and infect all her bosses if ya want.

Maybe if they laid her off because she was recently sick, and you can proove this, they're in breach of her contract or something? Could she sue them for unfair dismissal? She could over here in UK. Mega symps to both. Employers suck. All of them! Mine included.

Acrorat has a very good point here. I'd find out what I could about the lay off if I were you. The word discrimination springs to mind. If ya want, I'll do some research fo ya, I've got loads of time on my hands.

C'mon Miss Tara. Don't sit on the fence now... say what you really mean!

I'm sorry your mum was laid off. That blows.

No, it's nothing like that. They've been laying off everybody in the company. Their numbers used to be around 400 or so employees and now they're kind of around 50. I don't trust that fat bastard as far as I could vomit, but I know it doesn't have anything to do with my mom's illness.

Thanks for the thoughts of help, though.

Gotcha. Is she eligible for unemployment? I know it sucks, believe me I know, but it's at least some income.

You should have heard what I said in person when she told me what happened. I turned the air blue with things I normally wouldn't say in front of my mother.
She congratulated me for my creativity and then told me to knock it off before she washed my mouth out with soap. ;)

grrrrrr

Ugh. Awful. :( I'm so sorry.

they really are dog fuckers there, and I would like to add to your wishes, that they all get vericose veins, and meet some particularly nasty children who like treating them like rubberband slingshots.

With I name like that, how can the bastard *not* be evil?

Anyway, if there's anything I can do to help, let me know, okay? :)

That sucks. The last thing either of you needed at this point.

Hang in there. She should be eligible for unemployment assistance, so maybe that at least will help. But the real difficulty might be health insurance. Encourage her to look into what kinds of public health assistance might be available until another job comes up.

Hugs, and blessings to both of you. :)
