Mom- home.
Results- negative.
Ideas about what caused this- none.

She's been put on some sort of blood pressure medication and the theory that the blackouts were caused by migranes has been floated. However, everyone seems to be stumped as to the definite cause. She's in terribly good spirits and feeling normal, so I'm just going to be a paranoid freak and worry over her every chance I get.

As it was Boy-Free night, I invited Miss Robin over for dinner (chicken etouffee that I turned into a blush etouffee). Then we talked much smack with my mom about all manner of things up to and including the recent camping trip wackiness. We left at about quarter to eleven to go on a drug store run, which turned into a drug store tour. I had promised my brother I'd pick him up shampoo and conditioner, but three drug stores didn't have the kind he wanted (he's worse then a fucking girl with this shit). I wound up buying him something similar to what he wanted, which I know I'll get a ration of shit for.

However, we did have the chance to be gloriously obnoxious.

Miss R (only buying four skulls that ooze when you squish them): Can you ring this up quickly? I'm in a hurry.

BWAHAHA!

The Wee Ninja took me out this afternoon to buy me a birthday present in the style that we usually choose: me picking out what I want. We travelled to St. Jude's, which is a Catholic shop, and I picked out a Saint Peter statue and a big fuckoff blue altar candle.

St. Peter is for my altar, as a couple of months ago I made a deal with Papa Legba that if a certain door was unlocked (to an appointment I was running late for), then I'd get him a statue. All the Peter statues I've found have been CRAPPY, but this one is actually quite nice. It's small, made from pewter, and nicely detailed. I'm happy with it.

Just now, as I was writing this entry, I received a phone call from a mortgage company I had applied at a few weeks ago. Interview on Monday, 3pm. The pay isn't quite up to par, but I can work with it.
