a helpful hint
Jun. 27th, 2004 11:41 pmAny time one has to include a 'but' in one's sentence, one PROBABLY shouldn't be uttering the sentence at all.
Nine times out of ten, I'd say.
Especially when the 'but' is prefaced with something along the lines of, "I don't have a problem with blah blah blah". And then following it up with the problem one has with blah blah blah.
Also, if one has to begin a sentence with, "I don't mean to offend anybody, but..." then one DEFINITELY should keep their goddamn mouth shut.
It's becoming most tiring and I'm witnessing such behaviour just about every day. Even at work, despite where I work. You would think that your place of employment is an ABORTION CLINIC, your co-workers would be a bit more open-minded. However, as I'm learning, assholes are everywhere. *
* By and large, I love my co-workers. Except for a select few, who really chafe my tits.
