Jul. 22nd, 2005 11:53 amIt's amazing how days can fly past me and I never even notice the tread of their footsteps, when before I could hear them coming from a mile down the road. I glanced at the calendar to note something completely unrelated and realized I had missed what had once reduced me to hiding under the bed with a bottle of whiskey.
This morning, I watched myself in the mirror and felt my bones shifting under my skin. I stared at my hands and flexed my fingers, splaying them into the air.
This is what change feels like.
