The decision was made today to bring hospice into the nursing home for my mother, after her oncologist told me that she (roughly) has about a month left.

I'm not quite sure I've really reacted to all of this yet. I've been strangely calm.

horrible news, but maybe a pseudo-blessing that you have something sorta concrete to think in terms of? ugh. i'm so sorry. this is bullshit. =\

I was actually going to call you to find out if they were going to put her into hospice...with hospice, hopefully, they will be able to control her pain better and help prepare her/you for what's ahead...

Tony and I think about you constantly...just know that...we love you.
