Presumably the law considers the kidney failure a long, painful and unpleasant way to pass away. As opposed to constant treatment and prolonging even when nearly all hope of recovery is lost. >_<
I can't relate a mere 4 years between the woman who scared the bejeezus out of me fishtailing the Corsica in packed snow, one hand on the wheel and another barely holding a cigarette, and the developments you've related here.
Generally there's nothing I can say or do to help, so I keep my mouth shut, y'know. All there is is that no-one should have to go through this, no matter what.
