Yes, on purpose.
It's a bit odd, no longer being able to grab a huge fistful of my hair by twisting my arm behind myself. It's something that I would do, when bored usually, just to enjoy the feeling. I can't reach it at all now, it falls a couple of inches below my shoulders. However, I have once again attained the tactile and sensual feeling of the ends of a ponytail brushing across the back of my neck.
