Today I am stomping around in a new pair of platform boots that I won on eBay several weeks ago. Unsure about the level of pleased I am, but they make me rather tall. Even if they do have oddly shaped toes.

Cue the carnival music, won't you?

I also have a keen swirly skirt, which I've decided to wear against bare legs. No stockings for this girl, for once. I think I'm happier with the skirt than I am with the boots because I keep spinning in place to watch it flare out.

I'm actually eight-years old, just in case any of you were wondering.

I have the office to myself for the whole day (and tomorrow, as well), since Miss Angel has fucked off for parts (unfortunately) well known. She'll be at the Fairy Festival in Pennsylvania all weekend, which brings much hilarity whenever any of her co-workers discuss it. She attempted to convince me that I also wanted to go, but I wouldn't make a very good fairy. Too stompy. Too growly. Too easily led into angry flailing.

So, this wonderfully overcast day finds me blaring the Dresden Dolls as loud as I dare without having the therapy office next door to me knocking down my door. Over and over and over. My office is the only place I'll dance in, even with the fact that I have a rather large window that overlooks the very-busy-at-all-times parking lot and I can never remember to close my blinds.

Goodness for the day:
* new boots
* new swirly skirt
* made it to work (vaguely) on time
* I have Chai to drink!
* my brother and I received the life insurance money yesterday.
* some man just walked past my closed office door singing, "We are the World". I laughed so hard, I snorted. He heard me. hee!

What did the guy singing "We are the World" look like?

I can not, even in the deepest recesses of my creative genes, conjure up an image of what such a man's appearance would be.

And I need to know.

Chai rules the school.
Unfortunately, the place where I got it from does not do the over ice version.
