Two o'clock in the goddamn morning and I'm still awake.

All because I learned that the site where my webpage is hosted is being dissolved and I have an undisclosed amount of time to retrieve all of my files. And not from the webshell, mind you. That's inaccessible. But, from the browser. Right click, view source, save as. What utter and complete bullshit.

(not to mention the hour or so I spent trying to fix the bloody view source on my computer due to a massive store of temporary internet files)

Everything is now saved and on my harddrive. Tomorrow, it will be saved to disk and locked in the bloody fucking vaults. A smaller problem is that I can't remember the names of every single photo file I had on there. And not many of them were linked to my webpage, directly. They were just stored there. I tried to remember them, but my brain is mush at this time of night. So, I've been vastly unsuccessful.

This makes me so very angry, the loss of this webspace. It was a GOOD host. I've been with them for almost three years. Now, I've no idea what to do. Though I do now have an account with goth.net, I'm just not so sure how reliable they are.

I want my own webspace, my own domain, and all of that fun. I just don't have the money for it right now.

you could talk to narnia and go the velvet.net route, like so many fine net.goths before you... it's been waaay more reliable since the big upgrade.
