When I had panic attacks it manifested as morbid fear of death and an adrenalin rush. But they vary widely, so it's tough to say.

Try breathing slowly, and doing something that relaxes you. If you're still keyed up after an hour -- or if you're keyed up WORSE -- then I'd worry.
