*snarl*

I am irritated. Yes, again.

I am sick and tired of fluffy bunny, pretty pretty pretty princess, unicorn hugging, I'd like to buy the world a soy milk pagans. I'm sick of the women who choose Kali as their personal patron (and if you want to get truly technical, all you dipshits out there should be referring to her as MATRON. Imbeciles.). I loathe the people who declare that Lilith is their personal focus. I think I may even puke if I hear one more person say that their spirit animal is a wolf or a raven.

* Kali is not a shiny, happy entity to be mucking around with. Hello? Destroyer of worlds? Yes, she is also the mother. HOWEVER, she is not a kind and benevolent force. You want a smiley, strong woman to be your focus? Choose one of her aspects, like Tara (wahey! I love my name being the same as a goddess). Less blood sacrifices, more lollipops.

* Lilith hates humanity. I don't truck with the neo-myth that she's just a misunderstood wyld wymyn. Screw you, she kills babies.

* Wolves are boring, if you ask me.

* Ravens are cool. But, they're played out. Pick a new spirit animal. While you're at it, DON'T pick a fucking spirit animal at all. And stop nattering at me about your "rare connection with nature and animals". If I had a dollar for every time I heard that EXACT PHRASE, I'd have many many dollars and would have no need for unemployment checks. Guess it's not that fucking rare, now is it? Choke on a granola bar, you fucking fruit loop.

I will not and do not identify myself as a Pagan, despite the fact that I am into the occult. I like vodoun, I read up on Chaos magick. I'm a Catholic groupie and think Hinduism is keen. Call me a pagan and I will jam my size nine and a half boot right up your old tan track. I refuse to attend any of the Pagan Pride days in my nearest city. One, because I don't wish to be known as one. And two, I don't like to be associated with the aging hippies and crystal wavers who are usually found at such events.

Yes, yes, yes. I full well know that not ALL Pagans are like this. I'm friends with quite a few who are deemed acceptable (despite the fact that I nearly tore off the head of the one Wiccan I know who made a smarmy remark about the story of the rosary. Every time a rosary is said, the Virgin Mary gains one more rose in her mystical crown of roses. He snorted and said it was a bunch of fluffy nonsense. I nearly fell out of my chair in shock that a WICCAN would spout that). And I'm sure that some people who are reading this diatribe are all set to fire off a reply to me that they are pagan and they're not like that and I'm just close minded and blah blah blah.

One: I don't want to hear it, so don't bother.
Two: I have been a scholar of the occult for going on 14 years.
Three: I've got an open mind, but it doesn't exclude me from the right to think that Silver Ravenwolf is a fucking idiot.

I respect your (read: general you) right to run wild in the woods, nekkid and covered in mud while muttering hosenas of love to Gaia. However, don't come all googly eyed and tin foil hat needing to me about the mystical and spiritual experience you just had. AND FOR THE LOVE OF MICE, don't tell me all about how you're an avatar of the Goddess and you've been sent on a mission of light.

Worship nature and the earth all you want.
Be one with the bunnies and smoke all the sage bundles you like.
Just don't be a fucking idiot about it.

Do your goddamn homework first, though.

And for God's sake, don't even bring up "the Burning Times" around me.

This message has been brought to you by the letters M (for mean) and C (for close minded) and H (for hateful). Because I'm sure that someone, somewhere is referring to me by any one of those three adjectives right this very second.

my opinion my opinion my opinion.
Don't like it? Bite my ass. I'm in a foul mood right now.
hee!

ahhh.. the post that explains WHY Thelema is friends only.

I'm an epistemological/ontological anarchist. I am a Chaos Magickian. ;-)

BeLIEf is a tool, and all that.

And also, beLIEf in God is not necessarily Xtian.

yeah, I AM the reason Thelema is now friends only.

but, I didn't mean Thelemites are pseudo-xian because of a belief in the Chao/God/etc

Their ritual style IS almost identical to Catholic ceremony. Crowley did this intentionally because he had an Uber-Messianisitic complex.

He wanted to be a Christ.

Too bad he died of Heroin addiction. :(
Poor Uncle.

Personally I prefer Ontological Terrorist but, Hakim Bey (Peter Lamborn Wilson) liked to abuse the word "anarchist" even if he was a silver-spoon fed suburbanite who tended to cower indoors most of the time.

So Chaos Magick, huh?

Engaged in any particular random belief at the moment?

hehehe... ok

Well there are many strains of Thelema

One's with a Monotheistic bent
One's with a Pantheistic lean
Even one's with semi-Nihilistic overtones in regards to the distinction between Atman and Brahman (no-soul and pure soul, respectively)

Anything like that/those?

Or maybe I should ask which org you feel most inclined toward? (c)OTO, (t)OTO, (ur)OTO, etc ?

I'm not here to bash you for your interests in any way.

My brand. I'll find my own way thru experience. I'm not interested in "joining". I dislike some parts of the OTO groups I know, and like parts of some of them too.

Not much of a joiner myself. Mostly due to my distaste of such organizations policies and politics.

Namaste.
