Jul. 30th, 2003 01:50 amI received my first fan letter today, by email. It came from another user of the Art Conspiracy webpage. I've received a number of glowing reviews from people in the past, regarding my writing. But, no one has ever before taken the time to actually email me.
The letter itself was full of cheer and asking if I would be interested in collaberating with him on a story. My writing and his images. I wrote back to say that yes, I was interested in such a thing (because I always am). The one and only time someone offered a similar deal, it fell through horribly (most because the person turned into a great big schmuck overnight).
I'd been to Stephen's gallery before on AC (the guy who wrote to me), but hadn't had the time to check out his work. I was only responding to a comment he'd left in mine, some time ago.
Tonight, I decided to give it a look. To see what kind of artwork I would be dealing with. A lot of people on AC are very talented, but they seem to be few and far between. And the ones who are really good are already wrapped up in myriad projects.
Holy Mary, Mother of Mice.
To say the least, I am IMPRESSED. And if someone of that magnitude wishes to illustrate my work, well...woo boy!!
You'll notice I used two exclamation points right there at the end of that sentence. This is highly uncommon for me. And you should take note that my brief step out of character just then is specifically illuminating my opinion of his work.
My goodness. In other words: I would be FUCKING THRILLED for someone of that ilk to bring my stories to life.
hee!

I want to see! What's the URL?
Are the junior ratties conspiring to take over the world yet? I can only imagine the cute whiskery chaos. I bred hamsters when I was a teen, but I never had the two-dozen at one time that you do. One dozen was quite enough, thank you!
