Home from the horror convention and everything else which engulfed me this weekend. I'm still immensely tired from it all, though I did have a good time. Despite not having any money to buy toys from the vendor rooms. Highlights will be detailed at a later date, as I'm too brain fried to think very clearly right now.

This evening, when I was in the middle of doing the soundtrack meme typed in a previous entry, I made a thrilling and unexpected discovery.

This band, Daughter Darling.
It's a trip hop outfit from Philadelphia. I've downloaded one song, 'broken bridge', and am in the process of downloading another. Fucking-a amazing, I say. I need more of this stuff.

I like the feel of that song. It's very Philly-dark, though, brings to mind a tearstained girl, bangs clinging to her cheeks, walking through old brick streets, townhouses with lights on inside, rain falling.

i think i was thinking of the band dear darkhead. all these spooky D names from philadelphia get me confused.

did you ever see the band sweetie (also from here)? i don't know if they're still playing out or not... they were so awesome. very similar.
