poppies...
Dec. 15th, 2003 04:04 amRandom diner talk this evening reminded me of a long, lost childhood memory.
There is a scene in the Wizard of Oz, where Dorothy is lying in the field of poppies with snow drifting softly all around her. She's just starting to shift and stretch, to blink her eyes at her surroundings. She's about to become fully awake. I'm sure most of you know this scene.
When I was little, if you asked me what Heaven looked like, I would tell you it was an endless poppy field. With snow falling quietly around you. That was what it looked like to me, in my head.
Silly, perhaps. But, it still makes me smile to myself.

So I was bitten by the urge to share one of my jewelry designs with you, if you're at all interested in peeking:
I'm very much interested, so I clicked. But, it tells me the page is currently unavailable?

Date: 2003-12-16 05:38 am (UTC)I hadn't wanted to do this, because it's so much more like posting an unsolicited advertisment than sharing ideas on the poppy theme, but I do have it up on sale on ebay right now. So if you can excuse the ebay part, the picture is still the same:
