Miss Robin dyed my hair for me this evening, as it has grown to lengths a bit too unruly for me to manage. Apparently, I am now a two box girl. Which has me a bit snarly, as my dye costs almost ten dollars a box. Fuckers.
She left around midnight and I went to the shower, to wash the dye from my hair. After I had cleared it of all noticeable goo, I was lathering up my bath scrubbie thing and accidentally shot myself in the eye with a gob of unlathered shower gel.
Fuck, that burns!
And still does, though I rinsed my eye for what seemed like hours. I can only open it about halfway now and it's been about an hour and a half since my mishap.
This sucks very muchly as tomorrow I have an appointment with a staffing agency, who will most likely put me through the rounds of testing with typing and various Microsoft Office programs. If this stupid eye isn't any better, it's going to severely hamper my efforts to prove that I do indeed type at 95 wpm and that I have half decent skills with Word and Excel.
I seem to be having a run of bad luck with little accidents, for the past two weeks. First, there was the nasty burn I received on my right arm (which looks like its going to scar). Then The Engineer's new rat, Solomon, decided to mark up my right arm when I was giving him his first bath (now I look like a goddamn cutter). Then I almost cut my left index finger off with a big fuckoff knife the other day. Not to mention all the little accidents I've had over the past few days involving more scratches, dropping things, etc.
Little black cloud over my head. I think it's time for a good luck bath, I just need to gather the ingredients to do so.
One good thing is that I finally found Florida water at the Wal-Mart yesterday, after searching many stores for the past few months. Maybe tomorrow night, I'll do some cleansing rituals and offer some of the lwa their favourite things to get rid of this cloud.

Date: 2004-01-14 02:22 am (UTC)Rats are just rats though, and I think they just do that, dont they?
I have weeks like this where I wish I had stock in Bandaids.
The bath sounds like a wonderful idea!

His other two rats, Humphrey and George, take their bathtime like a couple of good soldiers. But, King Solomon had never seen the inside of a bathtub before and felt that getting inside of my arm was the ideal place to be. heh.
