I have an announcement to make!

We have a new addition to my household. :D

I found him at the petstore and after much deliberation and squeeing, I brought him home. Much to the ire of my mother, who has since been suckered by his good looks and charm. heh.

He's a wee little dumbo ratty. Some kind of hooded, though his backstripe is very wide and kind of spotted. There's also a splash of white on his left jawline and he's got a little spot on his forehead.

He's also a little camera shy. But, see those spots?! Adorable.

While being very camera shy, he's very bold otherwise. He comes right out of his cage and runs right up my arm whenever I open the door. He also started taking food from my hand the first night I had him, which amazes me. Especially for a petstore rat. He's also extremely playful and loves to wrestle with my hand, with much squeaking and chittering.

For the time being, he's in my little travel cage as the main boys' cage has bars that are far too widely spaced for him. I think he'd sneak right through them. That and all my other boys are about five times his size. So, I'm going to wait until he's a bit older and larger to introduce him.

I've been waiting to break the news of this until I could get some photos of him. Too bad my camera is so assy. :/
