Mom goes into surgery tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. for her hernia. This is after I was told two days ago by an extremely cunty nurse that it had been cancelled. However, it was never cancelled and now she's due for it Friday.

I'm more then a bit nervous about the whole thing. I don't think she's quite strong enough for this, but the doctors disagree.

I discussed (for the third time) having her put on a more nutritious IV drip last night. And the nurse I spoke to was quite a bit nicer then the formerly mentioned cunty one. Mom's having a lot of difficulty eating, to the point where she's barely ingesting ANYTHING at all. I'm just surprised that the damn hospital staff didn't take it upon themselves to set up a new IV. Especially considering that they're, you know, FUCKING MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS.

*seethe*

I'm very on edge right now. And I'll be up at the hospital all day tomorrow, starting at about 7:30 a.m.

I've found in my experience medical profesionals you seem to have one of two types. Extreem cunts or extreem sweeties. There's very little in the middle. My mum was one of the good ones and the horror stories she'd return with truly terrified me. Well my best wishes will be with you and your mother during her operation.

It sucks that they cancelled the surgery this morning at the last minute (writing on Friday at noon). You'd think they would have been monitoring her blood work for potassium, blood counts, cancer counts, etc. etc. since she got there and that they would have KNOWN what was going on. Fucking medical ANYTHING! But then again, maybe it happened for a reason and is for the best at this point in time. I hate sounding like a fucking tree hugging fuzzy bunny it's all in the hands of the Fates kind of gal, but...well...eh.
