Mar. 23rd, 2006 04:24 pmDriving to work this morning, I'm a stone's throw away from my office when I spy what seems like a billion news trucks and police squad cars ahead of me. At first, they appear to be all around my building, which causes my stomach to drop down to my feet. ohwhatthefuck... Given my line of work, any time I see police near our building, I get nervous. And if the media is also in attendance, I begin contemplating just going back home.
As I drive closer, I realize that the news vans are in actually in front of a different area, a residential home as a matter of fact, but that several of them have set up camp in our tiny parking lot (which is irritating beyond all belief, it's hard enough to park when we're seeing patients). This is apparently the reason for all the ruckus.
If you look at the little map in the article, our office building would be right below the letter E in 'Perot Ave'. The alledged homicide happened across the street and behind us, a stone's throw away.
