I just watched this from someone else's journal.

And I cried.

Half from already knowing the incredibly disappointing outcome in New York on the gay marriage bill, but also partly from knowing that despite Senator Savino's impassioned and beautiful speech on equality, there are so many people out there who are still full of so much hate and fear that they would deny people the legal recognition of the love and committment they feel for their partners.



All animals are equal.
But some animals are more equal than others.
