Oct. 21st, 2004 01:10 amOkay, you know what?
I was doing pretty good by myself tonight. Tooling around the apartment, cleaning the ferret cage, singing to myself. Generally feeling A-motherfucking-okay.
Then, just now, the television decides to air a commercial for "The Grudge". Some new horror movie starring Sarah Michelle Geller.
I'd seen it advertised and talked about in Fangoria. Heard other people discussing it. I had a passing interest in it, mild. But not overly concerned with seeing it.
...
goddamn.
Freaked out by a cunting commercial!
>:O
and now the cat is crying over and over again, while staring at the wall.
That's it, I'm going to bed.
And I'm not coming out from under the freaking blanket, either.

Date: 2004-10-20 10:23 pm (UTC)Now imagine seeing it for the first time at 3am, half-asleep on a sofa, through one eye, and no idea what the hell it is you're looking at.
Yeah. If I could fit in my dryer, that's where I would've slept for the next week.

Date: 2004-10-22 01:11 pm (UTC)I could fit into one of the apartment building's dryers, if I was really determined, but that would mean I'd have to go into the spookier-than-fuck laundry room.

Date: 2004-10-20 10:51 pm (UTC)Lately, well the past few years, the horror films coming out of Asia and Japan are just kicking the shit out of anything that is being produced here in the states. (Ringu, Audition, and Ichi The killer come to mind) No fuken originality, although a few exceptions come to mind, such as House Of 1000 Corpses, May, and the new Exorcist....but for the most part alot of shitty production, bad dialogue, muddled plot direction, ect....and of course, all the "re-makes", which, ironically, the "Grudge" is....unfortunately the fact that it is the same director as rhe original at the helm, and Sam Raimi is producing, tips the scales in the opposite direction I had originally taken when I saw that Gellar was starring....
