i can't pretend to imagine how you feel...i lost my stepmother to cancer a year and a half ago, and i know how terrible that was. people kept saying "take solace in her being in peace now" and similar things, but it seemed like there was nothing that i really could take solace in. she was gone. nothing could help that.
so while it wasn't the same as losing my mother would be, i can relate a little bit. the only thing that really helped me was to try and not think much past the moment. there are plans that have to be made, but besides what you HAVE to do, try and focus on making sure you eat, and sleep if possible. try and just get through each day.
you've been such a wonderful and amazing daughter, and i'm positive that you made this whole thing easier for your mother.
please don't forget to take care of yourself, and let other people help. they really want to.
