Why the fuck didn't anyone tell me about this band before?

I was just being a pest.
(actually I just kept forgetting.)


So, I picked up their cd this weekend while I was out shopping with the Engineer. During the busy weekend, I forgot about it in its plastic bag in my bedroom until last night when I was busting out the brand new cd player I had bought at Target.

Holy Mary, mother of mice.
This is some damn good stuff.

Tori Amos music dressed up in mime for depressed 16 year old girls.

There isn't enough talk about vagina faeries for this to be Tori Amos music.

However, I am all about music for depressed 16-year old girls. I never quite got out of that phase.

Eh... could be. Maybe you haven't listened hard enough. I mean, that she was hanging out with that damn Neil Gaiman.

I used to really like the DD and seen them multiple times. Amanda does seem to have this exhibition streak in her since every show is basicly 'look at my crotch.' Still, fell out of love after over exposure, dealing with their rabid fans (again with the 16 year olds), and the fact that she really is a little rich girl who had a pony now playing rock star. Nope. I'm not bitter.
