Dang, I'm covered in paint and wood dust.

Happily, and unrelated, I've finally managed to locate the artist of a specific print I once saw on eBay years ago. I had the picture saved to my harddrive, because I had thoughts of getting it tattooed, but lost it in a computer crash some time ago. I could never remember the artist's name or even the name of the print, but today I was doing random searches for Halloween decor for the apartment and stumbled across some of her other work.

It's distinctive enough and the subject matter close enough that I made the connection, so I excitedly emailed her. Lo and behold, she still has those prints for sale and will hopefully be putting one up on eBay for me quite soon. Yay for me!

Now, I'm off to wash off this muck and hie my ass to bed as I can barely keep my eyes open any longer.

What have you been doing that involves paint and wood dust?

I have this old spicerack that was my mother's since the dawn of my memory. It got in the way of me remaking my apartment over into something of my taste. It used to be a dark brown wood stain colour, but it begged me to paint it purple and green.

Next up is most likely the enormous plain pine hutch, which will also be purple and green (maybe with black and white striped doors, if I'm feeling uppitty that day).
