I'm finding it increasingly difficult to keep up any sort of 'good morale' at work, especially when certain CEOs offer my boss my fucking SALARY in an attempt to get them to stay (she didn't accept the offer), because she refuses to take an increase in pay because of the current three-year long raise freeze.
Not like, "If you stay, I will pay you X amount of money."
Oh, no.
More like: "Do we really need Tara? I could fire her and give you her salary. Therefore, you would only be getting the money allotted to the HR department."
OK, THANKS! YOU HYDROCEPHALIC PIG SNORTER!
It really does wonders for making me feel like a valued and important part of the company, I tell you. I could work myself up into a full scale rant on this subject, but honestly? I don't have the energy for it anymore.
You know its bad when I can't even get up the gumption for a round of self-righteous indignation.
Browsing through the advertisements on Careerbuilder does nothing but serve up a steaming platter of angst, lovingly garnished with a fresh sprig of frustration.
Go, Team Me.

Date: 2005-09-24 09:58 pm (UTC)Like i've told others, Janette reccomended Leafstone to me, and i'm sure that she's mentioned them to you, too. They were pretty cool (even if it took them long enough to get back to me that i had this position already) and they do direct hire, also.
