thejunipertreeThere was a town-wide yard sale in the town directly next to Goblin Market on Saturday.
I sat outside the house in which Thee Pumpkin Girl and E live, reading about the secret motherfucking life of lobsters (a book the Wee Ninja bought me for me birthday), and enjoying the sun and breeze. Many things had been stashed in my car, then strewn about their lawn, but there were no buyers. Probably more to do with people not wanting my mother's old Boyd's Bears and less to do with my haggling skills.
What does this cost?
$5.00
How about $3.00?
Actually, how about $7.00?
I, however, did manage to buy things. You can't take me anywhere without me buying something shiny. It's in my nature.
That is my sterling silver teapot ($2.00), my Day of the Dead Skull (umm, I forgot to give TPG money for that, I bought it from her), my fake-antique radio ($2.00), and the Wee Ninja's tiny Klansman (I spotted him at someone else's sale, don't remember how much she paid for it, didn't ask any questions about why they had a Klansman action figure). That is also the roof of my car these things are sitting atop.
I fell asleep at one point, curled up kittenball in a stray patch of sunshine, waking just in time to avoid having a sign taped to my back. TARA JUST GOT OFF REALLY EASY!!! Later that evening, we had snakebites and flat tires. Free abortions were given to everyone, except the Wee Ninja.
