Jun. 6th, 2006 06:34 pmFuck you, Wal-Mart!
I don't care how low you drive the prices of organic food (or how cheaply you price everything else, too).
I'm still refusing to step foot in your stores.

So much movement. Local grocers selling local produce is still about the most effective route, though too many people equate local with natural or healthy, which isn't always the case. I've seen the crop sprayers out here.
Asda has, I think, offered organic food for a while - I tend not to shop there, not so much because of any moral objection, but because they're a little rubbish and an hour's drive away. Local shops don't do any better, but at least I can get the shopping on foot/bike. No doubt if I'm remembering correctly, Asda's organic success has been an experiment for the corporation as a whole - but the UK has been quite happy to adopt organic, I think under the mistaken belief that organic=made here.
