I am not afraid to keep on living
Feb. 7th, 2007 07:58 pmOk.
This may make me a giant tool. But, I have developed an immense love for the band, My Chemical Romance.
Man, seriously. I've turned into a total fangirl. It's sickening.
It's been going on for a couple months now and Joanna has been having an absolute ball tormenting the shit out of me over it.
The only thing I can say in my defense is this: ...yeah, I got nothing actually.
The good thing is that the band is in their late twenties, so I don't feel like such a dirty old lady about it since I found that out.
You may all now commence the mocking.
Also.
Also, also!
They're playing Temple University this month. And I just bought tickets. They're asstastic seats, but they were best available and I bought them. Jitter jitter.
hee!

Date: 2007-02-08 01:25 am (UTC)It's because they really are a good band -- there's something more to them than a lot of the stuff out there. I'm seeing them on the 23rd! Supposedly, they have a stage show set up to play off the themes of The Black Parade, as well. I can't wait.
When the album came out, i talked about it a ton. slowly, people are coming around to seeing that it really is quite a piece of art.
YAY!

Date: 2007-02-08 09:06 pm (UTC)That album is so freaking good, it makes me twitter-pated. Track 7, The Jet Set Life is Gonna Kill You, is probably my favorite. The "Aw, sugar" part makes me RETARDED.
hee.

Date: 2007-02-08 09:09 pm (UTC)I'll call you from the show on my cellphone, so you can hear. :D
Also, Daniel Radcliffe and I broke up because he's growing up kind of funny looking. Ron is my new underage boyfriend. He's got that floppy, emo-kid hair going on.

Date: 2007-02-08 09:39 pm (UTC)That said, be warned: they're a gateway band.
Sure, I started out with AFI when they were just a punk band, but then I added a little My Chemical Romance, and oh, just a taste of this, a taste of that, and now I have the whole freaking Fall Out Boy catalogue on my iPod. GATEWAY BAND!!!! :)
