Ok.

This may make me a giant tool. But, I have developed an immense love for the band, My Chemical Romance.

Man, seriously. I've turned into a total fangirl. It's sickening.

It's been going on for a couple months now and Joanna has been having an absolute ball tormenting the shit out of me over it.

The only thing I can say in my defense is this: ...yeah, I got nothing actually.

The good thing is that the band is in their late twenties, so I don't feel like such a dirty old lady about it since I found that out.

You may all now commence the mocking.

They're playing Temple University this month. And I just bought tickets. They're asstastic seats, but they were best available and I bought them. Jitter jitter.

It's because they really are a good band -- there's something more to them than a lot of the stuff out there. I'm seeing them on the 23rd! Supposedly, they have a stage show set up to play off the themes of The Black Parade, as well. I can't wait.

When the album came out, i talked about it a ton. slowly, people are coming around to seeing that it really is quite a piece of art.

The funny thing is, I remember you talking about them a lot, but I sadly never checked them out. Then one night, I read something online about the singer and cheesy-angsty he is in their videos, so I You-Tubed them. And fell in instant fangirl-love.

Oh, come on. Look at him. He's angsty, and he's sexy. Though so is his brother, who plays rhythm guitar. I'm like a teenage girl over them.

That said, be warned: they're a gateway band.

Sure, I started out with AFI when they were just a punk band, but then I added a little My Chemical Romance, and oh, just a taste of this, a taste of that, and now I have the whole freaking Fall Out Boy catalogue on my iPod. GATEWAY BAND!!!! :)

That album is so freaking good, it makes me twitter-pated. Track 7, The Jet Set Life is Gonna Kill You, is probably my favorite. The "Aw, sugar" part makes me RETARDED.

I had it high on my list for that year, as well. They've always been good. There's just really something about The Black Parade that resonates hard with a lot of people, and that's why they've blown up. I heard some of those songs twice and committed the lyrics to memory, and it's largely all I listened to from October-December of 2006.

I'm so excited to see them in 15 days. I can't wait, can't wait, can't freaking wait!
