Super Rad!
Aug. 25th, 2007 07:38 pmLast night was MC Lars and The Aquabats at the Trocodero, which was probably one of the best shows I've been to in ages. This is despite the fact that no one else I was with wanted to go down onto the floor (we sat in the balcony, with all of the other old people). And some dickbags sitting near us who kept heckling Lars. I reverse-heckled the hecklers and stared one of them down on more than one occasion. After the show, when I was standing outside waiting for the rest of my entourage, the crew of hecklers were standing right next to me. I chanted, "dickbiter, dickbiter, dickbiter..." over and over at them as I smoked my cigarette.
Later that night brought wee hour comic book geeking with Mister Kyle and the sudden advent of french toast into my life (next time, add more sugar and vanilla and spices to the batter, I could hardly taste it all).
Today has been slow and lazy. I've spent most of the day clicking my nails, messing about online, and cooking random things. I made corn fritters, which came out nasty and I threw out after eating only half of them and then fancy scrambled eggs with Hollandaise sauce.
the Engineer: So, what's the fancy name for this dish you're making?
me: Scrambled eggs.
the Engineer: ...
For some strange reason, he is now watching The Dukes of Hazard on HBO and I'm glaring at the back of his head, attempting to will him into changing the channel.
When he reads this, I'm going to get the frowning of a lifetime. hee.
