Mittens 1993 - 2007

While I was away this weekend, Mittens apparently didn't want to eat. When I got home on Sunday, he was keeping to himself (which isn't all that unusual), refusing to eat, and looking a little bony.

He was admitted to the hospital Monday night for observation, blood tests, fluids, and feeding. He died sometime Wednesday night/Thursday morning. The vet woke me up this morning on the phone to tell me. He said that the blood tests told a story of Mittens' creatinine levels being so high that he would have recommended euthanasia.

I didn't even get the chance to say goodbye.

i swear to god if there is any special place
in some kind of an afterlife, there has got
to be one for kitties for sure. they so deserve it.
