Last week, fountaingirl wrote me a haiku, in exchange for me pointing her towards a recipe for BACON APPLE PIE OMG (which the Engineer does not like, due to the fact the doesn't have any taste in his goddamn mouth).

There once was a goth girl exquisite
Who paid Baron and Brigitte a visit.
She brought dark rum for each,
Poured it out on the beach,
And heard "That isn't Barbancourt, is it?"

In other news of newsworthy origin (or not), I am wearing rings today. Rings of a various nature, which I have not worn in many years (mostly because my fingers had gotten too damn fat to wear any of them). Last night, the idea to try them on again popped into my head (what can I say, I was kind of bored at the time) and lo and behold- they all fit again!

It's really weird, this feeling of weight on my hands. I'm not wearing them all like I used to, back in my more ahem flamboyant days; I'm only wearing four of them, two on each hand. And I keep taking them off, fiddling with them, and being annoyed by them. But! They are on my fingers and quite shiny! I need to get the giant honking labrodorite repolished because it is scratched all to nasty hell. grr.

Work is annoying, but you all knew that.

This is how long it's been since we've really hung, I didn't know you hadn't been wearing them lately. :O I haven't worn rings since I lost my daily kit a few years ago. And even then I'd really fallen out of habitual wear, and they felt similar.. heavy and in my way somehow. I remember days(years) of dripping in jewelry and I don't even know how I did it anymore. Metal always feels like it's in my way.

Oh man.
I haven't been wearing rings since I was still working in the mortgage industry. Like, six years ago. ^_^

The middle finger rings are really uncomfortable today, so I'm only wearing them on my ring fingers. Which just feels weird.
