I am maintaining that the reason why they did not play Disintergration is because Robert Smith heard me talking a load of shit on Wild Mood Swings, which is most likely the shittiest album ever recorded and I refuse to acknowledge its existence as part of their discography. hrmph.

Okay, yes, I must procure tickets to the Radio City show in NYC next month. And I really should not care if they cost more than they should because I have not seen them in years, this setlist is amazing, and I'd really like to see The Cure with Dan. So yes, you have convinced me with this setlist. :)

*jealous*

Wait -- did you do either of the MCR shows last week? [I'm way behind on reading the LJ]

Also, I love that they played "From the Edge of the Deep Green Sea." Did I ever tell you the story of the show at Irving Plaza in 1997? A bunch of us met Robert as he was walking out, and he was extremely drunk and whatnot. Anyway, he was being vaguely friendly and incredibly creepy, and the following went down:

Girl: "Robert! Robert! Why didn't you play 'From the Edge of the Deep Green Sea?!"
Robert: [sneers] "Why... don't... you.. go... play... it... yourself?"

:)

Friggin' lucky girl, you is.

what a setlist! 'From the Edge of the Deep Green Sea' must've been the absolute fuckin' cat's pajamas. If they'd played 'Faith' and/or 'All Cats are Grey', I'd be pitching an even bigger hissy fit.
