Ok first, I love the Silent Hill icon. Second? I have a shameful like for Event Horizon. Third, the worst movie ever made is not on your list. It is either "Tideland" or "Ilsa, She-Wolf of the SS." :P
At first instead of Event Horizon, I thought you meant Supernova which is indeed awful, but I love it for the James Spaderness, and the goofy semi sex mixed DNA scene at the end and when the computer tells Kaela she's preggo.
Of the two Event Horizon has to win at least for "most horrendously squandered potential ever." Plan 9 never had a chance to begin with. Event Horizon had stars, budget, all that.
But my vote for worst movie ever goes to "Nurse Betty."
