thejunipertreeSo, I done went and got me a Droid Eris a couple of weeks back.
My old phone was toast as toast could be, not to mention I was just plain sick of it. I knew I wanted to replace it was something nifty like an iPhone, but couldn't (and didn't want to) switch my carrier to AT&T. So, I did a bit of research and found that (in my opinion) the next contender was the Droid and the Droid Eris.
I eventually went for the Eris for a variety of reasons:
1. They were on special, buy one-get one. This meant that if I got an Eris, so did the Engineer. If I had gotten a Droid, I would have still gotten a free phone, but it wouldn't have been as nice of a phone.
2. Droid has a slide out keyboard that I hated. Eris is pure touch screen.
3. Droid was an extra $100.
4. Umm, it's named after the fucking goddess of chaos and discord. You don't get much cooler than that, unless your new model phone is named DROID JESUS OF NAZARETH KING OF THE JEWS or DROID GODZILLA or DROID JOSEPH STALIN or DROID CANDYMAN CANDYMAN CANDYMAN.
I'm still figuring out the twiddly bits, but one of the features I've liked the most is the camera.
There's a tree that grows in front of my parking spot, through a wee fence. I took this when the Engineer was changing his headlights and I was supposed to be helping.
What my world currently looks like.
Second snowstorm, at about two o'clock in the afternoon. We'd already been hit previously with almost two feet of snow the weekend before, then we got another 26 inches or so dumped on us this past Tuesday/Wednesday. Due for more next week. Fuck you, snow.

tony_s's reptile room, I divided by zero and somehow wound up in Silent Hill.
Inebriated and flailing on my couch resulted in this.
Baby on my freemason blanket, sleeping in-between Miss Robin and I. It's hard being 22.
