Dunder headed, me. I've managed to totally forget that The Priest They Called Him gave me a sack of birthday goodness on Sunday. Belated, mind you. But, a sack of birthday goodness nonetheless.

It included:

* a book about Saint Dymphna, which I had never seen before in my life

* an illustrated Lives of the Saints

* a Saint Peter's cross? I think that's what it was. It's keen and pretty, no matter what.

and...the best present of all:

Do you know any Latin?

Mutter a few key phrases in Latin when you sprinkle that on random passers-by. Livens things up a bit.

came accross you randomly.. neat birthday pack-o-stuff.
religious stuff is fun.
theres this catholic church supply store, can spend hours there, they have these little saint cards.. all sorts of rosarys (sp?) candles, little books, LOTS of stuff.
my baba is catholic.. shes got holy water by the litre, i swear.. it appears everywhere.. my sister recently moved out and she went to get something from her fridge and what does she find? a bottle of holy water of course. cause whats a home without a bottle of holy water? or 10.
Saint Dymphna is the patron saint of the mentally ill. ive got one her little saint card (from that catholic supply store) plus st.francis cause i like him. peace and all.
anyway.. the original and only reason i was going to post in the first place is in your user info page you have written "My cat can eat a whole watermelon." is that true? my cat loves watermelon too! actually he prefers cantalope (sp?) but anything of the melon family. he loves raw pumpkin (which i learnt is actually of the melon family) but any of these things, he will pull them out of the trash (peels) or jump up on the shelf or table where he doesnt belong so he can eat them. ive never heard of another melon loving kitty. thats him in my icon.

errrm. Hi.

Yes, I know who Saint Dymphna is. I had never heard of the /book/ which had been
given to me. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

And my cat doesn't really eat watermelon. That's a line from a movie.
Hence the quotes around it.
