Watching Jay Leno right now, something that I don't always do. But, the Wee Ninja was just here and we were watching the news and I left the television on after she left.

He's doing some sort of strange ask-the-people-on-the-street-very-simple-questions. And it is highly distressing to see what people say in response to them.

And some doofus replied, "England, Europe, and Spain."

Of course! How silly of me to think otherwise.

I can not BELIEVE the stupidity of the common person on the street. Another girl was asked what countries are on either side of the United States and SHE HAD NO CLUE. But, she knew who Mary Kate and Ashley were!

It's disgusting. Pure and simple. I can't understand how these people survive in day to day with being so completely dim-headed. Now Howie Mandell is on the screen. And I'm about to launch my water bottle at the tv.

i've seen those things before. it makes me ill. the level of ignorance in this country is just appauling. i sit here at home and wonder how on earth we're allowing all these things to happen to our country, and the real reason is that so few people have a clue about anything in the world that we as a country don't know anything. they did one of those just about our country and some people thought we had 48 or 52 states. we're ignorant. somehow, though, we beleive that we're obviously the best.

and uhm. it's england, scotland and ireland, right? i never know whether or not to count ireland, since i know a lot of irsh people who hate england ;)

and welsh people are from where the jelly is made. actually. you know. i don't know that one, either. dammit. these things always make me go look things up. i sit here saying they're ignorant and i don't know either. dammit.
