thejunipertreeWell, Speck had her babies yesterday before I woke up. I'm not quite sure of the number of them however, as she's adept at blocking them from view and I'm sure as hell not sticking my hand in there right now. I learned my lesson the first time with Aleister.
She absolutely hates being in the nursery tank I placed her in and tries to escape every time someone opens the lid. Today while I was still up at the Engineer's apartment, my brother had opened the lid and she jumped out to run around the top of the cages. Which then upset Aleister, who tried to bite my brother.
One cranky rat momma is bad enough, now I've got two of them on my hands.
I bought a second tank to use as a nursery for Aleister, because I really don't like her being in the spare cage. But, I've yet to transfer her to it. I neglected to remember that her current water bottle isn't compatible with a tank. When I drove out yesterday to Zoos for a new bottle, they didn't have any of the type I was looking for. Only the kind which clip to the outside walls of a wire cage. grr.

I've not been very talkative lately, I'm afraid. I was sick for some time and my body is still recuperating from it. I've been walking around feeling out of sorts and not with it. Not wanting to do anything or go anywhere. The heat probably has something to do with it, I'd reckon.

*hug* feel better... I have a mild case of the SARS as well now, and it's making me a little moody, too...
