Grumpy. Attempting to fill myself full of tea (Russian Caravan, a black tea. yummy). I managed to remember my CD binder for work this morning, but somehow forgot the book I was planning on bringing to chemotherapy. ARGH. And their magazines they have out for the patients and suchlike suck.

Last night, the Engineer and I took Carrie to my old hood of Philadelphia. Most specifically, we took her to MY bar. Tattooed Mom's. Thee Pumpkin Girl and The Unibomber V 2.0 were in attendence, as well as a surprise visit from Karl Christian (Angst Boy comics) and Brett (who smiles a lot and is keen).

TPG and I were doing the gifty thing, which involved much squeeing at each other. I got her the winged lion from The Island of Misfit Toys and she gave unto me a pair of tiny black velvet gloves (which fit my wee little paws perfectly), as well as the purple bat and cat box I have been squiggly over since I first clapped eyes upon it back in August.

TPG makes my heart go pitter pitter!

It's quite spiffy there. :)

Though I was verging on belligerent because they took the Nick Cave CD with my drinking song (Brother, my cup is empty) off the juke box. hrmph.

That jukebox has quite the mix of music on it. I like the stuff hung all over the walls. I've been amused enough by the first floor and have never even been upstairs. Since [livejournal.com profile] aprilrobin moved back to NJ we've had no reason to head over there. She used to work at Trixie's and told me all the South Street merchants go to Mom's when they're done, so she hung out there quite a bit.

She used to work at Trixie's?!

When?

I used to work directly across the street, at Tower Books. Three years, spanning 1997-2000.
Holy weirdness. I knew a couple of people who worked there, too.

She worked there right before the summer. I think she was a manager maybe? I can't remember.
