01 - Introduction
02 – Your first love
03 – Your parents (this is long as HELL

Breakfast: I don't normally eat breakfast during the week, unless you count ice water and cigarettes. However, on the weekends, I do things like make eggs benedict (my hollandaise is a thing of motherfucking transcendence and beauty) and strawberry vanilla ginger waffles.

Lunch: Last night, I had made a batch of white bean stew with swiss chard and tomatoes because the chard I had bought was starting to look a bit iffy. So, I ate that for lunch today. In a Chococat bowl. After lunch, I ate half a piece of the cranberry pecan pumpkin bread I made this weekend in a mad baking spree. More ice water, in my old as dirt Starbucks Halloween travel mug (it glows in the dark and is one of my favorite things on this planet), which went with me to class.

Dinner: Getting home from this class is still getting home goddamn late, so the Engineer and I decided that Wednesdays will be fend-for-yourself nights. I have no idea what he ate, though the bowl in the sink looked suspiciously like the remnants of the metric fucktonne of macaroni and cheese I made Sunday night. I wasn't in the mood for that, despite the fact we are swimming in leftovers of it, so I decided upon the following...

Two eggs, scrambled lightly with cream cheese and lemon pepper.
Bacon, fried crisp because if you eat it any other way- you are a communist.
Thick sliced mushrooms and halved grape tomatoes sauteed in the bacon grease.
Toast, with butter.

I don't eat like that particularly often, because I'd be sweating butter in buckets and rivulets, but once in a while is nice. Breakfast for dinner is a favorite thing of mine, but I'm always starving when I wake up.

Later on, I had a giant glass of iced tea. More ice water, more cigarettes. I'm contemplating a piece of that pumpkin bread, but I'm far too lazy to go in the other room to get it. Tomorrow, I'll probably have more of the white bean stew for lunch and I'm not sure for dinner yet. I have another pint of grape tomatoes from a local farm that are going to not last the weekend, so I should cook those. I know a great recipe for orzo cooked in chicken stock with sauteed cherry tomatoes, lemon, and capers. But, these tomatoes are very wee (being grapes) and the end result won't have the same feel to it.

The farm where we started getting all our produce is closing for the season in October, which makes me incredibly sad. I'd gone for so long not knowing this place even existed and I discovered dead in the heart of tomato season. Being South Jersey, these are Jersey tomatoes and if this state only does one thing correctly, it's grow motherfucking tomatoes.

Their strawberries are just gorgeous as well and numerous pints have found their way into various forms in this household as of late. I finished the last of the ones we had last night, making strawberry and orange juice slushes in the blender. This is a mournful thing that they are gone.
