You know, those are the first rats that haven't scared me -they are so cute -normally I don't like them but yours look friendly -maybe that's strange and they all look the same -then again I think there is a big difference from the ones you see in cages at the pet stores and the ones that have loving people taking care of them.
Rats are actually really friendly, especially when they've been socialised to people interaction. It always makes me sad when I go to the pet store and see the ones in cages. I want to take them all home!
I know how you feel -even though I have never considered one as a pet before, I find myself feeling so sorry for them at pet stores -there was a really sweet pair of grey ones that I saw last week -their fur was this lovely blue/grey and they were very docile and loving and if I didn't have three cats I would have taken them home -but you must still be a caring person if they trust you so much and if they are so enamoured with your company. I still might get one someday -who knows -my cats are such sissies they would probably run away!!!
