Jun. 7th, 2004 11:55 amThe yard sale went rather well, if you don't count the fact that none of us really sold anything big. I still have all my cages, the television, and my clothes. The Engineer sold a lot of his movies and some books, but not his television or his cage. Total made: $142.
Not incredible, but it's money my mom did not have before yesterday. Which is quite nice, yes.
Later that night, I managed to almost kill my car. Twice. Details will not be forthcoming, as I am terribly embarassed over the entire spectacle. However, I will say that it happened because I am just not very bright and kind of oblivious.
Don't ask.

Date: 2004-06-08 10:58 am (UTC)I know you're overwhelmed with everything, but did you ever look into whether or not your mom has any unemployment benefits that she can collect? You can do it online now (I'm sure you know this), and if she has anything there, I'd be applying for it. Also (and I know I'm being a PITA about this), have you heard anything from Camden County Social Services yet? You should probably try to call the hospital's social worker person and see if they've done anything with CCSS, and TRY to get me a name of a caseworker at CCSS who has your mom's stuff so that I can try to get some governmental hokus pokus going on. Oh, by the way, hockey season is officially over now, so you REALLY have your friends back..pass that on to The Engineer. And speaking of The Engineer, has he talked to his PooPah at the lodge about donating money to your mom, and about his lodge taking it to district for donations??
