The yard sale went rather well, if you don't count the fact that none of us really sold anything big. I still have all my cages, the television, and my clothes. The Engineer sold a lot of his movies and some books, but not his television or his cage. Total made: $142.

Not incredible, but it's money my mom did not have before yesterday. Which is quite nice, yes.

Later that night, I managed to almost kill my car. Twice. Details will not be forthcoming, as I am terribly embarassed over the entire spectacle. However, I will say that it happened because I am just not very bright and kind of oblivious.

Don't ask.

I'm sorry that I bailed on you this weekend...twice actually - I was thinking about coming out to the yard sale (I even got some books to sell from my Mom)...but I got up way too late after going to see M.O.D. play the night before and I realized that I personally only had crap and wouldn't feel right about selling it to someone...

Tony and I have been talking...what's going on with the other fundraising ideas...the beef and beer, Clemington Park? I would like to do the benefit show, if you're up for it...and lemme know what we can do with the other efforts, 'k?

Don't feel bad about not making it to the sale. We're going to be doing a follow-up at some point and you're more then welcome to join us, even if just to sit around and shoot the shit.

As for the other fundraisers, I'm not quite sure. Stef has been back and forth with the lady from Clemington Park trying to get an answer on whether we're allowed to have a DJ or not, because if we can't then we're not doing it there.

A friend of Mom's has brought up doing a beef and beer, but I've been unable to get in touch with them (because I lost her phone number, I'm currently trying to track it down through other people).

I'm still up for doing a benefit show, too. I just don't know what would be involved or who to go to or any of the important things. I've been running so ragged lately, I don't even know which end is up anymore.

I know you're overwhelmed with everything, but did you ever look into whether or not your mom has any unemployment benefits that she can collect? You can do it online now (I'm sure you know this), and if she has anything there, I'd be applying for it. Also (and I know I'm being a PITA about this), have you heard anything from Camden County Social Services yet? You should probably try to call the hospital's social worker person and see if they've done anything with CCSS, and TRY to get me a name of a caseworker at CCSS who has your mom's stuff so that I can try to get some governmental hokus pokus going on. Oh, by the way, hockey season is officially over now, so you REALLY have your friends back..pass that on to The Engineer. And speaking of The Engineer, has he talked to his PooPah at the lodge about donating money to your mom, and about his lodge taking it to district for donations??
